Painted with a knife over an old work. The red from the previous painting can still be seen where I scratched the acrylic off, with a knife. This is only the first to be painted over, I have another one, framed that will be completely painted over.

Every once in a while you have to look with dispassion at what you did and see if it's still worth it. The things you feel about the work might be the things that keep you from evolving. Every child is proud of his/her drawings, because he/she made them. But to go further you need to let go of the "I did it" blindness and create something that STANDS ON ITS OWN.

Love it!!
I think some of my own best work has come from painting over old work.. I guess it gives more freedom as you dont see the canvas so preciously as you would with a new canvas.
