the metaphor here is about being impervious (immune) to your own fall (mental or whatever) or to some kind of loss
it's inspired loosely by the fall of Icarus (from mythology) but with the meaning I mentioned before
the actual fall is symbolized by the falling feather, and the expression of the character as well as the wings pointed upwards show how unmoved the character is
I wanted to ask how you come up with this mind bending stuff, but in this comment I think I got a glimpse at how you think.
Really inspiring.

I only added the blue background in photoshop (and left some places white)
not sure about taking it further - I mean maybe I'll do it again differently, more detailed
