I really like the concept, (actually, I didn't guess it at the first sight, the title is just magic x) I plead guilty, I just thought it looked really really cool

). So hmmmm... I think it's all about the balance that is made by an outdoor for those sorta eyes/eggs (no offence

). You can see that the focus is where the look of the boy is supposed to be, the meeting of the two elements and where the eyes/eggs go out (with the light). With the shadows of the bowl, this focus is even stronger. Plus, the colors are really cool, this light blue sorta desaturated and the llight brown really fit together. It perfectly works, I love it :3
